            Jobs and the Economy



John has the background that is necessary to be a leader in Jefferson City on job growth.  He understands the problems that face small businesses and stifle economic growth.  If elected he will fight to reduce taxes and regulation on small businesses.  He has the experience and business background to create an atmosphere in Missouri that attracts new business and helps to grow existing businesses.
 

 

Business Experience:


  • Financial Analyst, Treasurer, Vice President of Finance, Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of KCP&L.
  • Board of Directors; Chairman of Audit Committee for Carondelet Health System—St. Joseph Medical Center and St. Mary’s Medical Center.
  • He has also served as a Member of the Finance Council, Chairman of the Investment Committee, and Trustee of Endowment for Catholic Education for the Diocese of Kansas City-St. Joseph.
 

 

Taxes


John will fight for Missourians and oppose wasteful spending and tax increases in Jeff City.   As the Treasurer and Chief Financial Officer of a major energy company.  John has experience at managing responsible budgets.  He will bring these same skills to the State Senate to fight for you.
 



Health Care

                       
John opposes Obamacare and will fight to keep Missouri out of the federal bill.  He believes in free market solutions to our health care problems.

Life


John is strongly pro-life and believes that life should be protected from conception.  He opposes embryonic stem cell research.  John will fight for everyone including the most vulnerable among us.


Education


John believes education is very important because it prepares students to succeed in life.  High quality schools are the driving force behind economic development.  John will do everything he can to ensure our schools are the best in the state.  John feels that education issues should be decided locally by those they affect.


Family Values


John is a family man and believes that strong families provide the basis for a strong state.  He opposes attempts to redefine marriage, and supports marriage being between one man and one woman.

Second Amendment


John is a member of the NRA and strongly believes that these freedoms should be protected.
